How Tours Work

A tour is a collection of scenes. Each scene has its own background image and set of hotspots. Hotspots can either show content (like a regular hotspot experience) or navigate to another scene, creating a linked walkthrough.

Setting Up

1. Create a new experience and choose Tour.
2. The builder starts with one empty scene. Set its background image using the Asset Picker.
3. Add hotspots to the scene — content hotspots or navigation hotspots.
4. Click Add Scene in the left panel to create additional scenes. You can drag to reorder scenes.
5. Link scenes by creating navigation hotspots that point to other scenes.

Hotspot Types in Tours

Tour hotspots have two modes:

• Content hotspot — Behaves like a regular hotspot. Shows a popover with title, description, image, and/or link.
• Navigation hotspot — Clicking navigates to another scene. Uses a directional arrow icon by default. You select the target scene from a dropdown in the properties panel.

Tips

• Plan your scene flow before building. Sketch which scenes connect to which.
• Keep tours under 8–10 scenes. Longer tours can feel overwhelming to visitors.
• Name scenes clearly — "Living Room", "Kitchen" — so navigation labels make sense.
• Place navigation hotspots near doorways, pathways, or natural transition points in your images.
• Use the first scene as an overview or starting point with navigation to all other sections.
